Why I Left Deloitte
One year ago, I made the leap—I left Deloitte to start something of my own.
I stepped away from a global organization and a high-performing team to help leaders at small- and mid-sized companies scale with intention.
That leap became StrengthsInsights Consulting, and over the past year, I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible leaders and build something that truly creates impact.
What We’ve Accomplished
In our first year, we’ve:

✅ Maintained 100% client retention
✅ Exceeded my Deloitte salary in year one
✅ Coached 100+ individuals using CliftonStrengths
✅ Advised 7 CEOs on growth, performance, and strategy
✅ Redesigned a national leadership development program
✅ Built long-term partnerships and launched new services
✅ Served 9 organizations across tech, manufacturing, nonprofit, and more
What I’ve Learned
Success didn’t come from having every answer—it came from solving real problems with leaders in real time.
I learned to:
Measure success by impact, not hours
Adapt fast when priorities shifted mid-project
Focus on outcomes, not optics—leaders want clarity, not fluff
Turn complexity into simplicity—this is what leaders actually need
Stay close to the client’s world—you can’t coach or consult effectively from the sidelines
Every challenge was an opportunity to build something better. And that mindset made all the difference.
